LUMUS is a learning management platform for schools, academies, and coaching centers — a product of Digitaro Private Limited (Singapore). This page is the public application homepage for LUMUS when requesting Google user data for the optional Drive class-folder feature (shown on Google's OAuth consent screen under the name LUMUS).

1. What LUMUS is

LUMUS helps educators run classes, publish learning modules, grade work, track attendance, and deliver course materials (videos, PDFs, and other files) to enrolled students. Schools and teachers use LUMUS to organize content and automate day-to-day teaching workflows.

2. What the Google Drive integration does

Many teachers already store lecture recordings, slides, and handouts in Google Drive. When a school enables this integration, LUMUS can:

• Let a lead teacher or admin connect their own Google account to a specific class via Google OAuth
• Require them to link exactly one Drive folder for that class (not My Drive / root)
• Let admins, lead teachers, and assigned teaching assistants browse that folder and attach files to learning modules
• Let students watch or read those files inside LUMUS (with enrollment and module access checks) without signing into Google

LUMUS uses Google APIs in read-only mode. We do not create, edit, move, or delete files in your Google Drive.

3. Why LUMUS requests Google user data

When you authorize LUMUS, we request:

• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly — list folders/files under the linked class folder, and stream file content for preview/playback in LUMUS
• openid, email, profile — identify which Google account connected the class (display name and email)

We use this data only to:

• Show who connected Drive for the class
• Browse the linked folder tree in the class Files experience
• Attach Drive files to modules and serve them to authorized users through LUMUS

OAuth refresh tokens are stored encrypted on LUMUS servers so the class connection can keep working until someone disconnects. We do not sell Google account or Drive data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

4. Prerequisites

• A LUMUS school/tenant with Google Drive enabled by an administrator
• Admin or lead-teacher permission on the class
• A Google account that can access the Drive folder you want to link

5. Connecting Google Drive to a class

1. Sign in to LUMUS as an admin or lead teacher for the class
2. Open the class Files area (or the Google Drive connect flow for that class)
3. Choose Connect Google Drive and approve the Google consent screen for LUMUS
4. Pick one folder for the class with Google Picker (selecting My Drive / root is not allowed)
5. After linking, staff can browse that folder and attach videos, PDFs, and other files to modules

6. School admin configuration

1. Sign in as a school administrator and open Dashboard → Settings → Google Drive
2. Enable Google Drive and enter the Google Cloud OAuth Client ID, Client Secret, redirect URI, and Picker API key for your deployment
3. Save settings so teachers can connect Drive on classes

Redirect URI format: https://{your-api-domain}/api/v1/google-drive/oauth/callback

7. Managing and disconnecting

• Class connection: disconnect from the class Google Drive UI in LUMUS to remove stored OAuth tokens for that class
• Google account: revoke LUMUS in your Google Account → Third-party access
• School-level: disable Google Drive in Settings to stop new connects; existing module references remain but cannot stream until Drive is re-enabled and reconnected

After disconnect or revoke, LUMUS will no longer call Google Drive APIs for that connection. See Data Retention & Protection.

8. Data & privacy
