Lumus supports compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We help schools and institutions protect student education records and control access appropriately.

Education records

Student data stored in Lumus (grades, attendance, assignments) is treated as education records. Access is role-based and configurable by the institution. We do not use student data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

Security

We use encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure to protect education records. Our practices align with FERPA requirements for service providers.
